Simulation

There are currently four directions for our simulation efforts:

The Geant-based G0 Monte Carlo, originally written by Neven Simicevic, mainly directed, at the moment, at helping to understand background rates and shielding design.
The Tracktor family of programs developed by Ron Laszewski and a similar code written by Fernand Merchez for optics studies
Room background simulation using the code of Pavel Degtiarenko of the Jlab RADCON group
A code in the "notional" stage which would permit the simulation of effects contributing to our systematic uncertainty false asymmetries, dead-time. This is expected to employ results from G0Geant (above) as well as the light guide simulation codes GuideM and GuideIt-SW, and the electronics simulation code DieuChien.

The simulation sub-group is responsible for maintaining standard versions of the codes. This will include documenting them to a level which would allow the average grad student to use them with only minimal consulting from the sub-group. The sub-group is also be responsible for running the codes to answer a list of questions/issues provided by the experiment coordinator.
